Central Queensland’s Roadshow Program
Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 are participating in the Roadshow on Monday. Please see the program for the day inside this newsletter. As a school community we are very excited to have this cutting edge program available to our students and staff. If you have a child in one of these year levels please makes sure they return their permission slips. The Show is free but permission must be provided. With only 60 places available in the program we will be including all Year 5 and Year 6 students (with permission) plus the first to return forms from Year 4.  Please see more details later in this newsletter.

Congratulations to Park Avenue Friday Afternoon Sports Teams

The morning reading groups have now settled into a routine. It’s delighful to see our students engaged in these before school reading sessions. The staff running the sessions have created powerful learning connections with their students and are very excited by the gains they see being made! “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
This quote can relate to various things in our lives, and within Park Avenue SS.  Mrs Casey and the Year 4 class are going to be using this quote and will be bringing something great to our school community.  Linking what they are learning within their Geography unit, they are taking small steps to reduce and recycle our waste. They will introduce some exciting resources that will complement the cooking and gardening programs. Stay tuned!!
